Connect Yields Alignment

What may seem like semantics to some turn out to be subtle markers on a path to inner peace. The path can be trod without them, so why bother focusing on subtleties? They make a difference and allow more inspired thought to flow.

At the heart of it all is connection, and connection yields alignment. Often in spiritual or metaphysical circles, the words are used almost interchangeably. Tiffany has discovered, through years of experience and learning, that connection more accurately refers to the essence within each of us. "We never lose that," she says. "It's when you have non-resistant thoughts to the fullness of who you are.

The antithesis of connection is ego. Eckhart Tolle defines in his book The Power of Now, “means a false self, created by unconscious identification with the mind.” When we refer to our environment, conditions, and “the peanut gallery,” as our source of worth or identification, we become unconscious of God (or the Universe, Source, the term for Higher Power that resonates best with you). A familiar tip to help remember this is Edging God Out (EGO).

Alignment, on the other hand, is a more versatile word used in reference to the state of having no resistant thought to a specific desire. Through connection, we allow inspired thought to flow that brings us into alignment. The key, according to our wellness expert, is to recognize that connection precedes alignment. Before we can tune into any of our desires, we have to tune into the core of who we are.

Check back as we continue to delve into the pools of thought on ways to connect, manifest, and enjoy our best life in each moment. After all, the time is always now.
